A group of teenagers faces a battle against dangerous paranormal entities in Sherwin Zarate’s action-packed novel “The Adventures Of Gorio” (published by iUniverse).

The story introduces 10 teenagers from different countries who meet in Archangel Gabriel Academy, a school for children with powers. They are called the orb bearers. Led by Gorio, the lives of these orb bearers are put in danger as they unknowingly angered a powerful entity who is threatening to destroy humankind. Individually, their power is not good enough but as their friendship grow stronger, they learn that together they can win.

“The Adventures Of Gorio” is an edge-of-the-seat read filled with nonstop action. The characters are of different cultures and races, and the story is inclusive of the LGBTQ community which makes it unique.

When asked what he wants readers to take away from the book, Zarate says, “Equality. No one is above anyone.”
